Amanda Fisher, PT, DPT Topic(s): Cash Base Amanda is a pelvic floor physical therapist with a practice, Empower Your Pelvis, in Lees Summit, MO and Overland Park, KS. She graduated from Rockhurst University in 2011 with her DPT and has had a passion for pelvic health and educating people on it ever since. She has had clinics both insurance-based and self pay, and now has transitioned both clinics to being cash-based and is so happy to do so. |
Chelsea Wittwer, DPT Topic(s): Pediatrics I received my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Creighton University in 2015. I had my last clinical experience at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City and started working at Children’s shortly after graduation. I have split my time as a pediatric physical therapist working between the inpatient and outpatient setting with focus on NICU, burn and the developmental population. I am a Credentialed Clinical Instructor and have had the opportunity to mentor multiple new employees at Children’s Mercy. I started as an adjunct at the University of Saint Mary teaching their Pediatric course this Fall. |
Laeth Hamil, PT, DPT, DNPro, CMTPT/DN Topic(s): Dry Needling Laeth graduated from Kansas University Medical Center in 2017. He has been practicing in the Kansas City area since his graduation, and is currently the clinic director and part owner at KC Rehab in Liberty Missouri. Laeth also partnered with Taylor Bushnell in 2019 to expand the teaching offerings of Dry Needling Pro. Dry Needling pro provides continuing education courses across the country to educate practitioners and students in accredited programs dry needling. In Liberty his practice has a manual therapy focus and has been utilizing dry needling for over 6 years. Laeth has a passion for complex cases and working with people who have failed other conservative treatments. In treating those cases he has found that using a multifaceted approach including manual therapy, exercise progression and Dry needling is much more efficient at improving his patients function than a single system of thought. In addition to treating complex patients Laeth has a passion for teaching. He takes on DPT students for clinical rotations, he is an adjunct professor at the University of St. Mary and has given many other guest lectures at local PT schools. |
Jared Casazza, PT, DPT, and Whitney Casazza PT, DPT, ATC Topic(s): Travel PT Jared and Whitney are both Doctors of Physical Therapy who have maximized their careers as Traveling Physical Therapists to achieve financial independence and travel the world. Their many adventures since beginning their Travel PT journey as new grads in 2015 have included traveling to all 50 US states, living the full time RV life for several years, visiting all 63 of the US National Parks, and exploring over 50 countries internationally. Throughout this journey, they have stood out as leaders in the travel therapy industry by mentoring and educating thousands of students and clinicians to help them pursue their own travel therapy careers, achieve financial freedom, and create lifestyles of their dreams. Dr. Aimee Riegel, PT, DPT is a graduate of the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science in Education with an emphasis in Exercise Science. She attended the University of Kansas Medical Center Physical Therapy program where she received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2007. She has practiced outpatient orthopedics her entire career, spending 6 years in Northeastern Kansas, where she served as the director of a small outpatient clinic prior to relocating to western Kansas in 2013.
Aimee founded FIT PT and Wellness, LLC in September 2019, a cash-based concierge practice, which she expanded to include a Fitness and Yoga Studio in October 2020. She provides services to clients in her fitness studio as well as in their homes. Aimee has a passion for helping adults stay active through their lifespan with an emphasis on health and wellness. Aimee specializes in Functional Dry Needling and is a level 2 Dry Needling practitioner. Aimee also teaches virtual and in person individual and group fitness programming, as well as offers specialty fitness and health workshops both locally and on a national level to increase awareness of health and wellness for all ages.
Aside from the clinic, Aimee devotes her time to her profession by serving on the Board of Directors for APTA Kansas. She currently serves as the Vice President of APTA Kansas. She previously served as the Payment Committee Chair from 2014 through 2019. Aimee has provided education on Defensible Documentation at various state conferences and launched the first webinar on the APTA Kansas Website. Aimee was awarded the APTA Emerging Leader award in 2017. She also founded and serves as executive director of a non-profit organization, Lovegrass Music Festival Association, which funds a very successful annual free music festival in North Central Kansas as well as other music events throughout the year.
Aimee is a native of Pawnee Rock, Kansas where she grew up on the family farm, attending Great Bend High School. She and her husband, Jason, spent 12 years in Lawrence before moving back to western Kansas to raise their two sons, Jonah and Jude. In her free time Aimee and her family enjoy playing bluegrass and performing in their band, 80 Proof Alice, camping, kayaking, hiking, shooting sports and attending concerts and sporting events.

Do I have to be a KPTA member to attend?
No, you do not have to be a KPTA/APTA member to attend this conference! Although it is held by KPTA student members, it is only encouraged that you consider joining the KPTA! All DPT and PTA students in the Kansas area are invited to attend.
What is the dress code?
Business casual is preferred!
Is there a fee to attend the conference?
The Midwest Student Conclave is completely FREE to attend. The only costs a student might encounter is if they must travel and stay in a hotel.
Is this a conference for both students and PT/A's?
This conference is solely designed for the audience to be students in PT and PTA programs. Licensed PT's and PTA's can attend the Spring and Fall KPTA conferences, which are different than the Midwest Student Conclave.
